KW'ENIKWÁY (kwa-in-i-kway) is the Squamish name for cottonwood (also known as poplar).

The fragrant resin from the leaf buds of poplar has many properties for topical use. This salve blends wild harvested leaf buds with olive oil and beeswax to create a soothing treatment for minor skin irritations, cuts and grazes.

This Salve is also available in our Ceremony Salve Set.

With every Ceremony Release, we donate a portion of sales to an organization that supports Indigenous causes. A portion of proceeds from the Kw'enikway Wild Poplar Salve will help support The Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Líḻwat7ul Cultural Centre (SLCC) in Whistler. This Indigenous-owned organization is a non-profit registered charity that employs over 90% Indigenous Ambassadors. All proceeds are invested into meaningful employment, training (including Indigenous Youth Ambassador Program) and cultural revitalization programs.

Are you cruelty-free?

Yes, we are cruelty-free. Sourcing from suppliers that are cruelty-free is a priority for us.

Do you harvest all of your botanicals by hand?

Due to the nature of our growing business, we are not able to sustainably and ethically hand harvest all of the botanicals we use in our products. We hand harvest materials as a team here in Squamish, BC and source from local suppliers.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes! All of our cartons are FSC certified and recyclable. Our products are packaged in recyclable glass and our tea bags can be composted.

Do you have a storefront?

Yes. Our Store and Headquarters is located in Squamish BC. Our address is 37756 3rd Ave. We are open Monday through Friday: 9:30am-4:30pm and Saturdays 11am - 3pm.

I’ve used this salve several times on small wounds on my hands/fingers. Just two days being ‘bandaided’ with it, and not only is the skin healed over, it’s often difficult to find the spot where the wound was! This from someone who is notorious for taking a long time to heal and is extremely susceptible to infections. I LOVE it!

Essential for my family

This product is an absolute necessity for my family's first aid kit! I use it in place of Polysporin on cuts, scrapes, and burns. It quickly acts as a numbing agent on a burn and has helped prevent scarring and blistering. My absolute favourite use is as a diaper rash cream for my babies. It heals a red, painful bottom within a few hours. It's better than any diaper rash product or steroid cream. I love that it's natural with only 3 ingredients. I stock up each time it's released!
