Key Ingredients

Wild Poplar

KW'ENIKWÁY (kwa-in-i-kway) is the Squamish name for cottonwood (also known as poplar). The fragrant resin from the leaf buds of poplar has many properties for topical use, including congestion relief, muscle aches, small scrapes, and minor skin irritations.

Olive Oil

Olive oil (Olea europaea) is a nutrient-rich, deeply moisturizing oil packed with antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols, making it ideal for nourishing dry skin, protecting the skin barrier, and promoting a smooth, supple complexion.

Beeswax

Beeswax (Cera alba) is a natural wax produced by honeybees that forms a protective, breathable barrier on the skin, locking in moisture while soothing, softening, and shielding against environmental irritants—making it a staple in balms, salves, and moisturizers.

Our Story

At Sḵwálwen, we sustainably harvest and source sacred plants that are known to help heal, hydrate, renew and bring balance.

Our heritage botanicals grow and thrive in particular terroir. We observe these plants throughout their growing season, looking for the cues and signs that they are ready to be harvested. This kind of awareness leads to a connection to place and a knowledge that can only be developed over time.

Each batch of Sḵwálwen products is made with care and intention, bringing you luxurious skincare products free from harsh chemicals, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic colors and parabens.
