We created the Kalkáy Wild Rose Firming Face Cream to honor the strength and beauty found in nature—and in ourselves. Named after the Squamish word for wild rosebush, Kalkáy symbolizes resilience, softness, and natural healing. Inspired by this delicate yet enduring plant, we blended antioxidant-rich botanicals like rosehip and chamomile and Tremella Fuciformis Mushroom Extract to help retain moisture and reduce collagen loss. Lightweight yet nourishing, this cream is designed to smooth the appearance of fine lines and restore balance, leaving your skin feeling soft, resilient, and deeply cared for.

The Wild Rose symbolizes the grace of our Land. Its petals soothe and soften, while its seeds, rich in nutrients, fortify skin's barrier.

Aloe Leaf Juice

Aloe leaf juice (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) is a clear, gel-like liquid extracted from the inner fillet of the succulent aloe vera plant. Revered for centuries for its healing and cooling effects, it delivers deep hydration, reduces inflammation, and supports skin regeneration. At Sḵwálwen, we sustainably harvest and source sacred plants that are known to help heal, hydrate, renew and bring balance.

Our heritage botanicals grow and thrive in particular terroir. We observe these plants throughout their growing season, looking for the cues and signs that they are ready to be harvested. This kind of awareness leads to a connection to place and a knowledge that can only be developed over time.

Each batch of Sḵwálwen products is made with care and intention, bringing you luxurious skincare products free from harsh chemicals, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic colors and parabens.

Are you cruelty-free?

Yes, we are cruelty-free. Sourcing from suppliers that are cruelty-free is a priority for us.

Do you harvest all of your botanicals by hand?

Due to the nature of our growing business, we are not able to sustainably and ethically hand harvest all of the botanicals we use in our products. We hand harvest materials as a team here in Squamish, BC and source from local suppliers.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes! All of our cartons are FSC certified and recyclable. Our products are packaged in recyclable glass and our tea bags can be composted.

Do you have a storefront?

Yes. Our Store and Headquarters is located in Squamish BC. Our address is 37756 3rd Ave. We are open Monday through Friday: 9:30am-4:30pm and Saturdays 11am - 3pm.
